“EME Is My Family” -Wizkid

Could the rumors be true? That Wizkid is no longer signed to Empire Mates Entertainment (EME Records)? One could easily interpret Wizkid's "EME is my family" statement on Y! Magazine in so many ways, but the full story is on the Magazine's latest print edition when you grab a copy.

Information from sources explained that "if we really want to be analytical about Wizkid's statement “EME Is My Family”, that technically doesn’t mean he’s still a part of the label, it’s like not getting along with your sister or brother, you don’t want to do business with them, but they are still blood.

Speaking on the issue, Chude Jideonwo, Editor-in-Chief of Y! said “As this magazine went to print, the rumours were just about confirmed in public and sources had certainly confirmed in private. The amazing talent powerhouse called Wizkid had aggressively parted ways with EME, the label powered by Banky W – interesting news in light of what he told us only weeks before.”

Based on your observation of the whole Wizkid and Banky W's EME Records breakup scenario; in your own opinion - do you think Wizkid and Banky W have truly parted ways, but still friends?
