#MusicNews: In an attempt to effectively reap from his hard work, award winning Nigerian music icon, 9ice, have announced via his social media account that no more free downloads and distribution of his music, which means fans should buy to support his craft; Nigeria Music Network is reporting.

9ice (born Abolore Akande) recently released two new singles 'AJE' and 'Seven', which he made exclusively available for download on Spinlet, the largest music distribution service in Africa. However, due to several Nigerian blogs and music websites making his newly released songs available for free download which affects his return on investment, Alapomeji himself have advised all music websites to stop the trend.

In the early hours of yesterday (Nov. 25th), 9ice [@i_am9ice] announced via Twitter:

"All websites & blogs shud adhere strictly 2 dis info. DONOT upload my songs ONUR websites witout my permission. GudIntentionWrongExecution." -@i_am9ice

9ice also called out NotJustOk, an award-winning Nigerian music website for music download, to cease from uploading his songs without permission:

"@notjustok pls stop uploading my songs on your websites without my permission. Good intention wrong execution. Pls honourdis Instruction." -@i_am9ice

In a nutshell, 9ice admits Nigerian music websites and blogs have good intentions by promoting his music, but their execution appears to be wrong and/or not financially rewarding to him which is quite understandable. Therefore, those who wants to support his craft should head on to to buy/download his songs.

What's your opinion regarding 9ice's request that Nigerian websites and blogs should desist from uploading and/or making his songs available for free download?
