The Biography of Nigerian Music Artist/Vocalist, MoeLogo is showcased on Nigeria's Music Network. His EP 'Moe is my name, Music is my Logo' is also showcased on our platform for (potential) fans to listen, download and share MoeLogo's music with friends and family.
MoeLogo is a talented male vocalist who is fast becoming a household name within the music industry. Originally born in Lagos (Nigeria), he relocated to London with his mother and siblings and it was there he fell in love with music. MoeLogo grew up listening to the sounds of R. Kelly and Usher, who sequentially became part of his daily routine as he liked to imitate their techniques as a method to develop his own vocal range. At the age of 14 he became a member of his school choir as he enjoyed singing for fun; using that opportunity to explore and train his voice.
In December 2010, he gained notoriety during a performance in Gambia with Jamaican reggae artist Busy Signal, winning a crowd of 60,000 people with his admirable panache and eclectic sounds.
“The love and support I received from the trip was priceless” – MoeLogo.
Having treasured this inimitable experience, his passion for music has grown effusively, permitting him to collaborate with some of the best Hip Hop artists in the UK such as Gunna Dee, Joe Grind and the super group Marvel Boys. MoeLogo’s time at the Starlight Music Academy has also allowed him to work with chart topping artist Chipmunk, along with Kano, Isiah, Blemish Blackstorm (JOAT) and Black Rob, to name a few.
Gambia was just the preliminary for MoeLogo’s career, as in 2011 he travelled to New York City, spending six months in the concrete jungle, which inspired him to write songs in his native tongue, challenging him to use a combination of both the English language and Yoruba and allowed him to successively create his first Afrobeats track ‘She’s my Indomie’ a remix of Davido and Naeto C’s ‘Back When’.
Following the success of his first single, he wowed the crowd with a mix of Afrobeats and Jazz- fusion at the Nigeria House Concert performing alongside Ice Prince, M.I Abaga and Jesse Jagz. Not long after having participated in the introduction of the 2012 Olympic Games, MoeLogo was invited to perform in Wembley at the Africa Unplugged Festival featuring artists from all over Africa including the likes of Femi Kuti, 2Face Idibia, Sarkodie, Zahara, Iyanya and many more.
In March 2013, Moelogo, chosen by DJ Edu participated in the BBC Introducing sessions held in the renowned Maida Vale studios. Moelogo teamed up with some 3 other acts Shezzar, Macca and Christopher Ellis to put out what is till date, one of the session’s most adored track.
Performances at other festivals/concerts such as Destination Africa & Afro Hair & Beauty Show have turned Moelogo into household name in the UK.
His break-through single Pangolo went viral, managing over 120,000 views on YouTube in just a month. He received rave reviews from leading blogs across the UK, Europe and Africa, garnering massive support from a number of radio stations including Choice fm, Bbc 1xtra, Reprezent and Bang fm just to name a few. June will see the release of his new single Mary J which features Stylo G. An exciting fusion of Afropop and Reggae.
Currently, Moelogo works closely with talented producer Bayoz Muzik (Look what the cat dragged in, Monsta Man), so you can expect the unexpected.
