Ice Prince Aboki remix: Wizkid, Mercy Johnson, Sarkodie, MI Abaga, Khuli Chana

Ice Prince’s Aboki remix will definitely be a massive hit since it has all the music giants across the African continent on the track. Nigeria Music Network team believes this collaboration is a symbol of unity across the African entertainment industry, helping to promote and uplift one another while sending out positive vibes to the African people and the world at large. BTW, in case you didn't know, 'Aboki' is means 'Friend' in Hausa. (Recommended: Aboki official music video by Ice Prince Zamani)

Below is a tweet from Ice Prince via his official Twitter account @IcePrinceZamani about the highly anticipated Aboki remix:

Ice Prince tweet Aboki remix, Wizkid, Mercy Johnson, Sarkodie, MI, Aboki remix, Nigerian music collaboration

Wizkid, as many of you already know, is arguably the fastest-rising music star to come out of Nigeria in our present generation, with collaborations with international heavy weights in the US and UK, it's no doubt Wizkid is changing the music game with his Afro rhythms. Sarkodie on the other hand is Ghana's fastest rapper, and arguably the fastest rapper in Africa as a whole. If you haven't heard Sarkodie spit, you need to listen to and watch this Sarkodie Freestyle on Tim Westwood TV

Another heavyweight featured in Aboki remix is Mercy Johnson of Nollywood, this is where the music collaboration gets really interesting because Mercy Johnson, fondly called MJ for short by her super fans on Nigeria Movie Network, has never sang professionally before - except when interpreting a role in a Nigerian movie. If you go through many of Mercy Johnson movies, and observe how real she acts, you'd understand why the global Nollywood community love her dearly. BTW, Nollywood is the largest employer of labor in Nigeria and the 2nd largest film producer in the world - in terms of output, after India's Bollywood.

Moreover, popular Nollywood actress Mercy Johnson has been in the United States since she delivered a baby girl December 30th last month 2012, so many are curious as to how or when she was in the studio with Ice Prince to record her piece!?!

According to information reaching us, industry players who had the chance to listen to the song before release date are giving good comments about the track. Let's wait for Friday January 25th as ‘Aboki’ remix by music stars across the continent hit us with one of the biggest collaborations in history, especially featuring Nollywood's most loved actress, Mercy Johnson.

South Africa's indigenous music artist, Khuli Chana, is another African icon featured in Aboki remix. According to information we gathered via Channel O, Mmabatho (SA) born Khuli Chana is a talented musician who practices the skill of rhyming in vernacular rap, Motswako. Motswako encompasses elements from various musical backgrounds. It involves street-talk and highly influential messages in Setswana, English and other South African languages. Khuli Chana brings a different flavour and sound, not only to this type of music but also to the Hip-Hop scene. It's certain many fans are anticipating to perceive the magic
Khuli Chana will be bringing to the Aboki remix.

Undisputed Nigerian rapper MI Abaga, who is also under the same record label as Ice Prince Zamani, Chocolate City Music Group,  is also featured on the Aboki remix. One of the many things MI is really good at, is putting that perfect finishing touch to any remix song he features in. For this reason, we anticipate MI will be the concluding artist in the Aboki remix, and he's bound to smoke the Mic as usual.

InformAfrica spokesperson, Kevin Onuma, added that "the highly anticipated Aboki remix has gone beyond the regular Nigerian music, it will now be regarded as an African music henceforth, and the song is all about friendship". There you have it! Make sure to check back on Nigeria's Music Network website for the official remix! Na go de Aboki!
