D'banj wins Best Male Video award at Channel O Video Awards

Kokomaster D'banj won the Best Male Video award at the just concluded 2012 Channel O Music Video Awards which took place Saturday November the 17th in South Africa. This year's awards was co-hosted by Chocolate City's Ice Prince Zamani.




Nigeria Music Network gathered D’banj walked away with the ‘Most Gifted Male Video of the Year’ award at the just concluded 2012 Channel O Video Awards. Last year, the former MoHits record boss and G.O.O.D Music act who was to be honoured with a ‘Special Recognition’ award missed the show.

This year's Channel O Music Video Awards was hosted by Nigerian rapper Ice Prince and South African model Bonang Matheba, at the Walter Sisulu Square in Kliptown, Soweto, South Africa.

Ice Prince Zamani to host Channel O Music Video Awards 2012

Ice Prince Zamani is hosting Channel O's Music Video Awards 2012, which is also known as Spirit of Africa Music Video Awards. It is the 9th Annual Channel O Music Video Awards since inception in 2003, Nigeria Music Network have gathered.

OLEKU crooner, Ice Prince has been named as host of the 9th Annual Channel O Music Video Awards. Joining the Nigerian superstar is South Africa’s Bonang. It will be a fusion of the duo’s unique individuality as the awards event gets underway today, Saturday, 17 November at Walter Sisulu Square in Kliptown, Soweto.

Ice Prince began writing music in 1998 and later formed a group with a couple of his friends called the Ecomog Squad. They had a few performances as a group and split a year later.

The Jos-raised artist has become a bonafide solo star across the continent over the past few years, primarily driven by the mega hit Oleku. The song, featuring Brymo, saw Ice Prince win Most Gifted Newcomer Video at the 8th Annual Channel O Music Video Awards and his current chart-toppers “Superstar” and “Magician (Remix)” featuring Gyptian have seen the artist earn a nomination for Most Gifted Hip Hop Video as well as Most Gifted Ragga Dancehall Video, respectively this year.

“I feel really honoured and super excited, I think I am more excited than anyone who has ever hosted/co-hosted the show because it’s a huge privilege to be hosting the biggest award show in Africa,” says Ice Prince.

Wizkid to perform with Trey Songz at Brixton Academy, UK

This is one of the biggest international concerts that features a son of the soil, a young Nigerian, who is also a starboy - a live concert fans of Wizkid will not want to miss for the world.
