Naija Gist: Linda Ikeji recently confirmed Paul Okoye of the popular P-Square duo, have accepted his baby son with 19 year old MBGN 2012 contestant beauty queen and former Miss Plateau State, Elshama Igbanoi.

According to Linda Ikeji blog, "in May, we all heard that Paul Okoye, the other half of singing sensation P-Square, had welcomed a baby with 19 year old MBGN 2012 contestant, Elshama Igbanoi.

Paul Okoye has never reacted to the story in the either confirm or deny that he is indeed the little boy's father. The boy was born April 7th in the UK, four days before Paul and his girlfriend Anita welcomed their son, Andre, in Atlanta.

Paul at the time told the Igbanoi family that he's going to do a DNA test to ascertain paternity. Maybe he's done it because he has officially acknowledged the boy as his."

Few months ago, SaharaReporters had reported Paul Okoye refused to claim paternal responsibility for his new born son from 19 year old beauty queen, Elshama Igbanoi. Here's how it was reported:

"Nigeria’s hip hop sensation, P Square (real name Paul Okoye), has reportedly abandoned the mother of his second baby in a London hospital where the woman recently gave birth to the entertainer’s baby.

A few weeks after welcoming his first new born baby in Atlanta, P Square – who is also known as P2 – had another baby delivered for him in a London hospital by a former beauty pageant contestant. However, this time, P Square has refused to claim paternal responsibility for the baby boy."

SaharaReporters further disclosed their sources said the new mother had been in touch with P2, but he had not been forthcoming beyond telling her that he plans to arrive in London for a DNA test to ascertain paternity. SaharaReporters spoke to the woman’s father, Benson Igbanoi, in Abuja. Mr. Igbanoi stated that his daughter was faithful to the musician. He also revealed that he had sent several emails to P Square concerning his daughter’s pregnancy for him, but had received no response.

Another source said Elshama's family had contacted Paul Okoye's father and aunt to persuade the musician to accept responsibility for his baby. Ms. Elshama insists that she never slept with any man except for P2, adding that she lost her virginity to him when she was 17 years old.

SaharaReporters learnt that the London hospital where she gave birth has not received any payments. “The hospital has been harassing both Elshama and her mother to pay hospital bills of over £5,000 that have been incurred,” said one source. The baby boy has been named Michelle Paul Okoye.

In a twist to the story, a source close to the former beauty queen said Ms. Elshama was a close friend to Anita, the other woman who gave birth to another baby for P2 a few weeks ago in Atlanta, Georgia.

by Nigeria Music Network / 1,314 Views

The controversial news regarding Olawale Ashimi popularly known as 'BrymO' dropping his record label Chocolate City Music, is starting to stick as the hook master recently confirmed via his Twitter handle @BrymOlawale that he left Chocolate City Music.

Today May 28th, BrymO announced on Twitter: "It is true, I have left chocolate city", hereby confirming rumors that surfaced this week that he had left his recording label.

The sudden news about Brymo leaving Chocolate City Music came weeks after Jesse Jagz declared he is no longer a recording artist under Chocolate City, the same label managing pop stars Ice Prince and M.I Abaga.

In a previous report by TheNET over the controversy, Brymo might just be a barking dog that won’t bite anytime soon. The label and his manager Samuel Lolo clearly state that the ‘Olawale Ashimi’ is still signed to them and therefore can’t walk out of their deal.

He still has three years and two albums to deliver, that’s what his contract says
, a rep from Chocolate City says.

Truly, Brymo can't just walk out on his legally-binding contract with Chocolate City Music as a recording artist, it just doesn't work that way. This must be tough times for the Ara crooner who seems to be in disagreement with his label. Brymo will need a good lawyer if breaking his contract with Choc City records which might end up being settled in a courtroom.

Brymo joined Chocolate City Music in 2010 and released his '#TheSonofaKapenta' album in November 2012.
